1. South Beach – Surf, Cafes Doggy beach and more.

First of all, one of our regular visited spots, South Beach. You can find lots of coffee shops and restaurant and so many variety of drinks. The beach is divided between two parts, on the south side is the swimmers side and on the north part before the jetty you there is a famous Dog Beach. Every day lots of dogs come over to burn their energy. Owners and community get along especially during the morning and evening times to take the dogs for a swim. This beach is also very popular for backpackers and hippy vibes. some groups get along and watch the sunset while playing musical instruments and sing.
South beach is a very clean beach, there is a cafe before the grassy area and you can also see some food vans over the summer.
In the winter the most popular attraction is the sauna, which lots of people love. They usually do the hot and cold therapy by spending some time in the sauna and then jumping in the cold and refreshing waters of the ocean.
2. Fremantle – A Historic Seaside Getaway

Fremantle (or “Freo” to the locals) is a cultural melting pot where history meets hipster vibes. Just 30 minutes from Perth CBD city Centre, it’s known for its Victorian architecture, bustling markets, and a laid back arts scene. You can spend your morning wandering through Fremantle Markets, home to handmade crafts and local produce, then explore the historical halls of Fremantle Prison. you can wrap up the day with fish and chips at the iconic Fishing Boat Harbour while watching boats drift across the Indian Ocean and enjoy of sunset and dolphins at the beach.
Fremantle is easily one of the best coastal day trips from Perth for those who love a mix of culture, history, and seaside charm.
3. Yanchep – Nature, Koalas & Caves

If you’re looking to escape the city and immerse yourself in Western Australia’s natural beauty, Yanchep is a great option. Yanchep National Park is located about 45 minutes north of Perth, it offers the perfect blend of native wildlife, bushland trails, and limestone cave exploration. You can start a walk track by going through the koala boardwalk, where you can also spot some kangaroos jumping about.
You can find an English style pub and amazing caves where you can explore and do yoga. There is also a cave called Cabaret cave which is used for sound healing sessions, yoga and breathwork retreats, wedding and venues

This swimming spot is a favorite among locals for its calm waters, wooden jetty, and peaceful surroundings. we also had the chance to spot dolphins and fly fish. Bicton Baths is perfect for morning swims, stand up paddleboarding, or even a riverside picnic, Bicton Baths offers a serene escape without the crowds. It’s also a great place to watch the sunset over the river with views of the Perth skyline in the distance. there are not coffee shops around it but you can find BBQ facilities as well as an Ice Cream Van packed with delicious food and drinks for everyone.
5. Coogee Beach – Snorkeling & Sunset Walks

Coogee Beach is a relaxed, family friendly coastal gem just a short drive south of Fremantle. It is well known for its soft sand and clear waters, it’s an ideal place for a beach day. during the summer days you can go snorkeling there and check at the Omeo shipwreck at the south of the beach.
What makes Coogee truly special is the Coogee Maritime Trail, an underwater snorkel trail featuring artificial reefs and a sunken shipwreck, perfect for adventurous snorkelers. As the sun dips low, the beach transforms into a peaceful paradise making it one of the top spots to catch a the sunset.

Among our favourite places to visit in Perth are the great beaches and the amazing Fremantle. Pert is such a multicultural city that allows the people live and relax, enjoying the sun and the crystal waters of the Indian Ocean. There are plenty of things to do in these places all around the year. Our favourite place is The Dog beach at south beach. We love the culture and sense of community of the area as well as the cleanliness of the place.
